Mornington Secondary College operates a successful and engaging College Ambassador Program which allows students greater opportunity and involvement in leadership. The aim of this program is to develop highly confident and capable young leaders.
The College Ambassador Program provides students with a greater connection to the College while developing skills in public speaking, chairing meetings, taking minutes, organising events and fundraising programs. Additionally, College Ambassadors assist with special year level programs and events within the wider community.
The structure of the College Ambassador Program includes captains and ambassadors in the areas of The Arts, Curriculum and Sport. It allows for a student voice to be expressed through effective communication with each other as well as staff.
Students are encouraged to work with each other and staff to enhance student life at each year level.
The College Ambassador Program is led by two College Captains (Imogen Goodall and Cooper Marriott) who are closely assisted by College Vice Captains (Tayla Walker and Will Hipkin). They regularly meet with Sub School Captains, Arts Captains, House Captains, Music Captains and Year Level Captain to oversee the leadership program. This ensures open lines of communication between students and the College’s decision making bodies. Students are encouraged and supported to become involved in their area of interest at every stage.
Our aim is to develop highly confident and capable young leaders of the future.
